Who We Are

Our Purpose

We are a welcoming LIFE Group designed to encourage and equip parents with children in the home during all seasons of life, but especially the busy ones.
We gather each week to share life, strengthen one another's faith journeys, and build Christ-centered relationships. No matter your background or where you are in your walk with Christ, you'll find a warm and welcoming community ready to walk alongside you.

What to Expect

Our group is small but growing, and we are passionate about deepening our roots in God's Word while rising together in faith, fellowship, and service. Whether you are looking for a place to belong, friendships that will encourage you, or meaningful discussions that connect Scripture to everyday life, Rooted & Rising is for you.

Meet the Carmonas

Jared & Lauren
The Carmonas recently returned to our church family. Jared teaches in this LIFE Group and volunteers on the safety team. Lauren volunteers in the children's ministry. Jared and Lauren met at ECS and have been married for 10 years. Jared works for Hartville PD, and Lauren homeschools their two girls.

Meet the Pates

Justin & Kristin
The Pates have been active members in our church for many years. They met in high school at ECS and have been married for 14 years with two boys. Justin began attending EBC in 2004, and Kristin has been a member since 1989. Justin teaches in this LIFE Group, volunteers on the EBC Safety Team, and works as a Nuclear Security Officer for Duke Energy. Kristin volunteers in numerous ministries at EBC and also works as an Administrative Assistant at ECS.

Meet the Neals

Nathan & Kim
The Neals are one of our newest couples to EBC, who have been members for 2 years. Nathan now teaches in this LIFE Group and is our AWANA program commander. Kim leads our children's church and volunteers in other parts of children's ministry. Nathan and Kim have been married for 20 years with seven kids. Nathan is an active-duty Air Force member, and Kim works at ECS as a teacher's aide.
