Born in the upper middle region of Tennessee, Pastor Jonathan was raised much of his childhood up and down the East Coast. He sensed the calling of God to preach at the age of fifteen. Pastor Jonathan has a deep passion for teaching God's Word and evangelism and takes a resolute stand on the truth of the God-inspired Scriptures. He is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and the college at South Eastern Seminary.

Pastor Jonathan became the lead pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in December of 2023, answering a 35-year-old prayer to become a shepherd of a church with a Christian school. His desire and mission are to equip and inspire congregants to share the good news of Jesus with the community of Hartsville, South Carolina, and beyond!

He and his beautiful wife, Ginger, were married in 1994, and they have four children and five grandchildren.
